This morning, I spoke to a dear friend of mine who is battling cancer. Her battle has last a long time, but she’s has strength and an army behind her. While talking she said “I just take it one day at a time”. This got me thinking and inspired to write. It’s been just over a month since my last blog, and writing these blogs are therapeutic for me. This post is dedicate to friendships.
Some friendships are short while others last a life time. Each friendship we gain, brings us lessons to learn. Some times those lessons are not learned until the friendship is over, and some times, you have to learn the same thing over and over. They are our teachers.
I have been blessed with great friendships, some I have had longer than I can remember, while some were just formed in the recent years. I treasure each friendship. I love each laugh, tear, smile, inside joke (Aruba!) we have shared. With the right friends beside you, you can climb a mountain.
As I continue to support my friend in her battle, she knows I’m there fighting with her. We might not be in the same country any more, but we have our memories of the times we shared to give strength.
Take the time today, to tell your friends how much they mean to you, and how much you love them.
